A FAITH-FILLED FUTUREOur faith guides our way of life. The things you learn now shape you into the person you are to become. Attending St. Patrick School helps you lead a faith filled life by guiding you in the ways of Christ. In learning to care for not just your immediate family, but also the global community, you live the life Jesus taught you to. Our way of life reflects who we are. As Catholics this includes being kind to one another, doing community service, helping shut-ins and people who are less fortunate. We should live in a calm, quiet, respectful manner. As Christians and members of the Catholic Church, we should go to mass every week and pray to God every day, so he can help us make the right choices in our day. Community service shows how much you care for others. There are many different kinds of community service. You could have fund raisers, organize food drives or altar serve. When I get to NFA I hope I can join Project Outreach because helping in my community is a wonderful way to share God's love. If more people did community service, our world would be an even better place to live in. Honor, respect and love; three things you should treat your family with. Honor them by doing as they say. Respect them by not talking back. Love them with all your heart and tell them that you love them. This doesn't just go for your immediate family, but to the worldwide community of Christ. In the Bible Jesus tells us, "I tell you the truth, whatever you did for the least of these brothers of mine you did for me." (Matthew 25:40) By leading a faith filled life, I hope to be a beacon to my non-Christian friends. A light to lead them to the kingdom of Christ. I am so fortunate to be able to attend Catholic school where we are taught daily through lessons and by example how to be like Jesus. By Nicholas Bosse |
